Henderson

Billed as “Acadiana’s National Waterpark”, Henderson Lake is famous for some of the best fresh water fishing in the south.  It offers the angler the opportunity to catch Bass, Sac-au-lait, and bream, among other species.  Explore the Atchafalaya Basin on a tour by one of the locally owned swamp tours.  Enjoy watching the sunset over the basin while sipping your favorite refreshment at one of the Landings and restaurants along the Henderson Levee.   This fishing village is also renowned for it’s seafood restaurants and Cajun cooking.   Franchise restaurants and video poker establishments are also located along the I-10 entrance.
