Wednesdays, Longfellow-Evangeline State Historic Site, St. Martinville - Creole Housekeeping, 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Visitors are invited to follow the site ranger on a walk through a 19th century Creole home. Jan. 29, Longfellow-Evangeline State Historic Site, St. Martinville - Vigilantes on the Bayou, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. This program will depict a violent era in the history of South Louisiana. Two encampments will be setup, one camp to portray the vigilantes and one group at the farmstead to portray the anti-vigilantes.
